Design faster with Lunacy’s built-in text and avatar generators

Speed up your design process with Lunacy’s built-in text and avatar generators. Create realistic content instantly for smooth workflows.

Lunacy makes design easier by auto-generating placeholder text and user avatars right in the app. It quickly provides names, job titles, paragraphs, and customizable avatars. This saves time and keeps your workflow running without interruption.

Text generator

Instead of switching apps or brainstorming placeholder content, Lunacy auto-generates text for your designs. It provides names, job titles, contact info, headings, paragraphs, and more.

How to use

  1. Activate the Text tool (press T) and click on the canvas.
  2. Choose a text option from the dropdown menu or type a keyword (e.g., “name” or “email”) to filter options.
  3. Click and drag to create a custom-sized text layer—Lunacy fills it with placeholder text and adjusts the font size based on the content type.
Refresh text by clicking the refresh icon or pressing Shift + R. Auto Refresh ensures that copying a layer generates new placeholder content unless you detach it from the generated content.

Avatar generation

Lunacy’s Avatar tool quickly creates user avatars from real-life or AI-generated images.

How to add and update avatars

  1. Activate the Avatar tool (press Q or select from the toolbar).
  2. Click or drag on the canvas to place an avatar.
  3. Duplicate avatars to get new photos, or refresh single/multiple avatars using the refresh button or Shift + R.

Customize avatars with parameters like gender, ethnicity, and age using the integration with generated.photos. You can enable transparent backgrounds, adjust fills, and even apply avatars to any shape by selecting a shape and using the Avatar tool.
