One of the finest arts on our planet is music. With the right tracks, we can move through time, share the love with our beloved ones, and even heal a person.
Classical music, hip hop, rock, ambient, or jazz — everyone has their fans and adherents. But once a year, all music lovers, despite their preferences, are united. The reason is World Music Day.
France’s Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, and Maurice Fleuret, a French composer and music journalist, founded this holiday. On the summer solstice in Paris in 1982, they proclaimed a new statement: “Music will be everywhere!“. Saying so, they wanted to provide music to everyone. By organizing free concerts in parks, streets, and other public places, itё became real. Another aim was to encourage amateur musicians to showcase their work to the world.
