Digital Illustration: The Power of Contrast in Tom Haugomat’s Art

The most blossoming period of spring, full of contrast colors, weather and emotions, feels like the perfect moment to share another dose of inspiration for illustrators and digital artists. After the recent collection of romantic illustrations that got really popular with our readers, meet the inspiring set of expressive artworks filled with the contrast of colors, light and darkness, stories and emotions, textures and curves.

All the illustrations in today’s post have been created by Tom Haugomat, an illustrator based in Paris, France. His works have been featured in big publications like XXI, Le Monde, and many others. He also works as an animated film director with Bruno Mangyoku and belongs to the Parisian workshop Messieurs Dame. Tom’s impressive portfolio is a source of inspiration for many graphic designers today: following one recognizable style, he plays with palettes, brushes, and textures in digital art, showing how illustrations empower visual storytelling and branding, advertising, packaging, and editorial design. He also breathes new digital life into classic approaches to poster and magazine art. So, enjoy and stay tuned!

Don’t miss the collection of expressive illustrations by Malika Favre, funny animations by Markus Magnusson, read about prospects for digital illustration and review the variety of free vector illustrations on Ouch.
